Thermisters are temperature sensors also known as NTC or PTC probes. They are used to measure the temperature inside boilers, typically the temperature of the water orflue gases. An NTC works by reducing it's resistance as it is heated up. This change in resistance is used by the pcb to alter the gas rate accordingly.
