Diverter Valves / Glands

A diverter valve is usually found in combi boilers. It allows for the water running through the main heat exchanger to be diverted to the central heating system or to the dhw heat exchanger for heating up the dhw depending upon the demand. In most older boilers the diverter valve inco-operates a diaphragm but in most newer boilers the diverter valve is operated by a electrical motor.
